Grzegorz Kwiatkowski will be a guest of the Vienna International Center for Cultural Studies. The meeting will take place on December 10, 2025.
“Grzegorz Kwiatkowski’s poetry volumes brennend (2023) and ohne Orchester (2024), translated to German by Peter Constantine and published by parasitenpresse, deal with the Shoah in Poland in concise and direct, therein sometimes brutal language. Taking this as their starting point, the Denkpausen will feature a dialogue about memory and forgetting, the layers of history in Gdańsk, the Freistadt Danzig, and German-Polish literature. It will be accompanied by a reading from Maciej Salamon in German and Polish. Grzegorz Kwiatkowski is a poet and lead singer of the band Trupa Trupa.”
