On December 18, Biuro Literackie will publish Grzegorz Kwiatkowski’s book “Zagadka”.
“The last premiere of the Biuro Literackie in 2023 will be Zagadka by Grzegorz Kwiatkowski – the author of books touching on history, memory and ethics. His poems-scraps, devoid of the author’s voice, seemingly simple, even formally bare, sometimes turn out to be difficult to solve puzzles.
This time, the title’s interpretative “puzzle” turns out to be the topic of family relationships – distorted, contaminated with violence and inhuman (or, unfortunately, human) ruthlessness. In Grzegorz Kwiatkowski’s book, upbringing turns into training disguised as care, the bond resembles a hunting raid, and the only legacy is a relay race of trauma.
This is the sixth publication of the author, who has been publishing his subsequent books in the Literary Office since 2012. The poet, born in 1984, is also a member of the psychedelic band Trupa Trupa. He co-leads the “Virus of Hate” workshops at the University of Oxford. He is a member of PEN America and the European literary platform Versopolis.”
